Hi Tracie -I have been listening to your show for the past month and a half while I am driving home from work…
I know you can help me with my poor cat Felix. He weighs about 19 pounds and he is only 5 years old. He has had urinary crystals for about 3 years I was shocked when I heard about what dry food can do to cats, and I know that is what is wrong with Felix. My vet has prescribed Hills brand S/D wet food and he has been going on and off of the Hills maintenance food, but still kept getting crystals when taken off the wet food. He is now on the Hills wet food and I have switched him to Summit dry w/cranberry.
I am going to purchase your book next time I am in a city close to me, which will be in the next couple of weeks. I live in rural Western Canada and do not have the resources that larger cities have. Can I make raw food for my cats? Or do I need to buy the canned food?
Felix is such a happy cat and I want to do what is best for him and have him live for a long, long time. I am going to browse you website tomorrow, New Year’s Day for some ideas. I also have another cat Abigail, but she is doing fine, and I will switch her over also
