The good people at Weruva kindly forwarded this email they got about their new line of food made just for PETCO called Soulistic. I was really gratified to know people are learning about the less expensive alternative to Weruva. I love the ingredients of Weruva (and I deeply respect a company that has resisted making any dry food because they know it is bad for cats and have heard me call it “Kitty Crack” so many times) but many times I have felt conflicted recommending it because it is pricey and out of many peoples’ comfort zone for their budgets. So here is what Amy wrote:

That is some crazy shipping cost! Forget it – before we go further, do you know anyone who plays tennis? Because the plastic lid on the can of balls often fits pet food cans? I am so excited about the new Soulistic food!!!! Once again, I want to thank you for exposing us to information we would never have known.
Domino and Latte (of “Uncle Boom-Boom” fame) are changed cats. I had changed to wet food over a year ago at your advice. We were feeding them ProPlan (there was not a place to purchase the other foods you recommended). The change was great but Domino started to gain weight. I saw the info about Soulistic on your website and immediately purchased some at Petco right after Thanksgiving.
OMG!!! My husband and I cannot believe the difference!!!!!
First, they dove right into the food and ate it all.
Second, Domino no longer throws up after eating.
Third, after being on it for 3 weeks, their coats shine like a mink coat. Even the neighbors have commented on the way they look.
And finally the biggest thrill of all, at 14 Domino is back to acting like he was at 6 years of age!!!!
Domino is not sleeping all the time – alone on our bed. He chases Latte all over the house. He runs down the hall in front of me and hides behind the doors and plays the door game (sticks his paw out to “grab” your finger when you stick it in the door crack) like he did when he was a kitten. He is back to scratching on the door to ask to go outside and patrols his territory again. When he does sleep, he is on a couch in the room where we are or with Latte in their bed by the window.
I have always known food to make a big difference, but this is HUGE!!!!
Perhaps I should start feeding it to my friends that are acting old and lethargic
