Cutest Kitty Photo Contest
WERUVA Cutest Kitty Photo Contest
Winners will be announced on DOG TALK® March 4 2011
Thank you all for the fantastic photos you sent in. I will be joined by David Forman, who owns Weruva, in deciding the outcome of the contest. The Grand Prize winner will get a case of Weruva sent by Petflow.com, along with a signed copy of my book THE CAT BIBLE. The runner-up will get a case of BFF (Best Feline Friend, made by Weruva),also generously sent out by Petflow.com (which carries these two brands and so many more). The nice folks at Nordic Naturals have also offered to celebrate the cutest kitties by sending bottles of their Omega-3 pet oil to the next five cutest cat photos. So there will be loads of winning photos, but every single cat is a winner in our eyes!
Winners of the Weruva Cutest Kitty Contest
David Forman – who owns Weruva and generously gave the top prizes for the contest — had the toughest time picking winners because honestly, all these kitties are so adorable and such stars of the feline world! But since contests do need to have winners, here are:
FIRST PRIZE: a case of Weruva cat food sent by www.Petflow.com to
COREY & BAILEY - Dana's Devon Rex 6 year old boys - seen in each others' arms – who were adopted from a rescue specializing in purebreds (the founder is coming on the show soon) (http://www.purebredcatrescue.org/available-for-adoption-2). These boys confirm my advice that you can find every pure breed of cat at shelters. And they have been off kitty crack and onto Weruva and other canned foods for ten days and already looking and feeling better.

SECOND PRIZE: a case of BFF (Best Feline Friend), cat food made by WERUVA and shipped by www.Petflow.com to:
PATRICK - a gorgeous boy adopted from ARF (Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons) and a loving and very patient brother to two adoring young ladies.

RUNNERS UP: These lucky cats each get a bottle of Nordic Naturals omega-3 pet oil
OSI, adopted and immediately embraced by Vega, the adopted Wheaten terrier from whom he is now inseparable. His Mom says: "We rescued kitty Osi [who is about 4 months old now) after rescuing puppy Vega 2 years ago. Vega has been the only child for so long we weren't sure how she would take to another animal, especially a kitty. But as you can tell from the pictures they have become best friends. She is such a love-bean and snuggles with the whole family. If we're in the bedroom, puppy and kitty are in there with us; if we're in the kitchen, they're at the border watching us cook; if we're on the couch, they're right by our feet."

LESTER, stretching out his stripes on stripes, who is one of 5 adopted strays and as his mom says, "He's a nice cat, and won't mind sharing with siblings Benny, Ava, Maybelle & Maude."

ELLEN'S STRIPED KITTIES cuddling in East Hampton: SOL and SHMUEL Silverberg

MOO in Alaska, a real character who came to Kim as a stray as she says: "Moo is very patient with the animals I foster. The little dog in the picture stayed with us for a couple days. She insisted on snuggling with Moo to keep warm. "

In honor of Sleepy Pie, Bambi requested that her prize be a donation to Corgi Rescue in lieu of a prize.

SLEEPY PIE, from his perch on the back of Peso, the burro. Because Sleepy Pie went over the Rainbow Bridge some years ago, Bean the Naughty Corgi will receive the new SUPER COLLAR for his beach walks, as described on DOG TALK (and Kitties, too)®
